BARN & BARK TERMS & CONDITIONS OF HIRE

1. General

Barn & Bark provides private hire of an indoor dog play, training and enrichment venue for use by dog owners, canine professionals and approved event attendees.

By making a booking, purchasing a membership or attending the venue, the booking holder confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all persons attending under their booking.

Barn & Bark reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time where reasonably necessary.

2. Private Hire & Use of Venue

All standard bookings at Barn & Bark are for private use of the indoor barn for the duration of the booked session unless otherwise stated.

Only the dogs, handlers and guests included within the booking holder’s party may access the venue during that session.

Customers must vacate the premises promptly at the end of their allotted booking time to allow for safe changeover and cleaning between users.

3. Owner Responsibility

All dogs attending Barn & Bark remain entirely the responsibility of their owner or handler at all times.

Barn & Bark acts solely as the provider of the venue and associated facilities and does not accept responsibility for the supervision, control, handling or management of dogs using the premises.

Owners/handlers are responsible for ensuring that dogs attending:

  • are fit and well enough to participate

  • are suitably controlled at all times

  • do not pose an unreasonable risk to people, dogs or property

  • are accompanied by a competent adult handler

Barn & Bark accepts no responsibility for injury, illness, loss, escape, theft or death of any dog except where directly caused by proven negligence of the venue.

4. Reactive, Nervous or Behavioural Dogs

Barn & Bark is designed to provide a calm and private environment suitable for a wide range of dogs, including reactive, nervous or under-confident dogs.

However, the booking holder acknowledges that behavioural responses remain unpredictable and Barn & Bark cannot guarantee a trigger-free environment or any specific behavioural outcome.

Dogs with known behavioural concerns remain the sole responsibility of their handler at all times.

5. Vaccinations & Health

All dogs attending must be:

  • up to date with core vaccinations or titre tested where appropriate

  • free from contagious illness, parasites, or infectious conditions

  • not attending whilst unwell

Owners must not bring dogs suffering from vomiting, diarrhoea, kennel cough symptoms, fleas, or any contagious condition.

6. Damage, Fouling & Cleanliness

Owners/handlers must clean up after their dogs immediately and dispose of waste in the bins provided.

Any excessive fouling, repeated marking, destructive behaviour or deliberate misuse of equipment may result in an additional cleaning or repair charge.

The booking holder is liable for any damage caused to fixtures, fittings, flooring, furnishings, equipment or the building beyond normal wear and tear.

7. Visitors, Children & Safety

All visitors attend the venue entirely at their own risk.

Children are welcome only under strict adult supervision and remain the full responsibility of the booking holder. Children are not permitted to climb on or use any of the provided dog equipment.

Customers must wear appropriate footwear and use all facilities in a sensible and safe manner.

No smoking, vaping, alcohol misuse or dangerous behaviour is permitted on site.

8. Liability Disclaimer

Use of Barn & Bark and all associated facilities is entirely at the customer’s own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Barn & Bark shall not be liable for any injury, loss, damage, accident, claim, cost or expense suffered by any person, dog or property while using the venue except where such loss is directly attributable to proven negligence on the part of Barn & Bark.

9. Booking Payments

All bookings must be paid for in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

A booking is not confirmed until payment has been received.

Barn & Bark reserves the right to refuse or cancel bookings at its discretion where necessary for safety, misuse or breach of these Terms.

10. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Bookings cancelled or rescheduled with more than 24 hours notice may be transferred to another available date.

Bookings cancelled within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable and non-transferable except in exceptional circumstances at Barn & Bark’s discretion.

No refunds are given for non-attendance or late arrival.

11. Memberships & Session Packages

Memberships, packages and discounted plans are subject to their individual plan terms as displayed at the time of purchase.

Unused sessions may not roll over unless explicitly stated.

Barn & Bark reserves the right to amend membership structures, benefits and pricing on reasonable notice, excluding any specifically advertised locked founding rates.

To cancel a membership, Barn & Bark requires written one months’ written notice.

12. Professional Hire

Dog trainers, behaviourists, walkers, pet sitters and all third party canine professionals hiring the venue must hold their own valid public liability insurance and any relevant professional insurance.

Third party professionals remain fully responsible for:

  • all client dogs

  • all client attendees

  • services delivered

  • professional advice given

Barn & Bark acts solely as venue provider and accepts no liability for third party professional activities undertaken on the premises.

13. Events & Stall Holders

Additional event-specific terms may apply to workshops, markets, socials and stall holder bookings.

All stall holders and event professionals are responsible for holding appropriate insurance relevant to their activities/products.

14. CCTV & Media

Barn & Bark may operate CCTV on site for safety, security and insurance purposes.

Photographs or videos may occasionally be captured during organised events for promotional use. Customers may notify Barn & Bark in advance should they wish to opt out.

15. Right to Refuse Entry

Barn & Bark reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate a session without refund where:

  • these terms are breached

  • dogs present a serious safety concern

  • aggressive or abusive behaviour occurs

  • the venue is misused
